TAROT, ART, SYMBOLISM & YOUR JOURNEY IN 2020 -July 18, 2020
Explore the symbolism of the tarot with art of Pamela Coleman-Smith and the tarot . Its relevance to character and destiny in 2020 is still vital. Come and learn some of the historical meanings of the cards and open up to your own intuition. July 25, 1pm -4:30pm. 80.00
STAINED GLASS: CREATE A STAINED GLASS WINDOW – AUGUST, TBA.
Learn the traditional lead glass techniques, including basic elements of design, glass cutting, soldering & assembly. Patience and an eye for precision is an asset here. All material for a 10″ x 10″ stained glass window included. 300.00
CLASSES & WORKSHOPS
These classes are all planned for maximum fun. The goal is to ignite the sparkle of creativity within you, learn the handy skill of glass cutting along with some history of glass techniques, share Dar’s long-time passion for glass and tarot, symbolism, and take home something special***.
ONGOING CLASSES, beginning in September ( 2- 4 people with Covid protocols)
MOSAICS – Tuesdays, ongoing 9-11am, $50.00per session . Some materials provided.
FUSED GLASS – Wednesdays, three sessions , 1pm-3pm. Students provide glass cutter & pliers. All materials for a 4″ suncatcher and garden stake included $ 250.00
TAROT – beginners,. This course introduces the Smith- Rider-Waite tarot deck, the cards and their symbolism, and the art of reading tarot. The Rider-Waite-Smith deck is used in this study. Students are encouraged to have their own deck but it is not mandatory. If you prefer a different tarot deck, please bring it along. 6 classes – $ 120.00. Starting 3rd week in September. TBA
Individual classes & individual tarot readings are available all year round, by appointment.
2-4 people per class. Covid protocols with individual considerations taken for each.
INSTRUCTOR: Dar Mace has been a studio glass artist, student, teacher, and reader of the tarot for over 30 years. Born and raised in Saskatoon, Saskatchewan, she has lived on Gabriola Island since 1980. Dar’s glass work is internationally known (most recently Chile, South America).
