Labyrinth

'The Labyrinth' is a work in progress that began in 2007. The initial concept of a circuitous pathway has expanded into a yin/yang pattern of stepping stones leading in and out of a circular center courtyard. As of July, 2009, over half of the stepping stones are completed and the estimated time of completion is spring 2010.

The central themes of the labyrinth are based on the five stages of spiritual growth as articulated by James Fowler, the Greek myth of Ariadne's thread guiding Theseus safely out of the Minotaur's labyrinth, and a multicultural celebration of humanity's many pathways to spiritual enlightenment, manifest in this earthy mosaic feast of myth, symbol, and color.
